Which Immunizations Do I Need?

Different types of students are required to have different vaccinations. Please read this page carefully to make sure you know what you need.

All Students

ÌÇÐÄvlogÊÓƵ law requires all students — no matter what year or program you're in (undergraduate, graduate and law students) — to be vaccinated against the following:

  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • TB Skin test for all international students
  • Meningitis vaccination for all students living on campus

Immunization records are to be submitted to the Admissions Office. You can submit these records electronically

If you don't have copies of your proof of vaccination, don't worry: There's a simple blood test we administer to determine your immunities.

International Students

Vaccination requirements for international students are the same as for domestic students; however, they do need to have their doctor complete the following form, then return it to OCU.

Dormitory residents on campus:

In addition to Hepatitis B and MMR, dorm residents must be vaccinated against Meningococcal disease, or else sign a waiver declining this vaccine. ÌÇÐÄvlogÊÓƵ state law requires this.

On-campus housing residents:

In addition to Hepatitis B and MMR, dorm residents must be vaccinated against Meningococcal disease, or else sign a waiver declining this vaccine. OCU requires this.

The meningitis vaccine is available for purchase during walk-in hours in the Campus Health Clinic.

OCU students who don't live in any form of campus housing are only required to be immune to Hepatitis B and MMR.

In addition to Hepatitis B and MMR, nursing students living in campus housing must be immunized against:

  • Meningitis

In addition to Hepatitis B and MMR, all nursing students must be immunized against:

  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • TDAP

The following tests and vaccines are also required annually:

  • Tuberculin Test
