The Spirit of Grace Liturgical Dance Company is a unique performance and service opportunity. Under the direction of professor Kelli Stevens, members of Spirit of Grace perform a distinct blend of jazz, lyrical, and ballet choreography as they share their faith and love of dance with the ÌÇÐÄvlogÊÓƵ community, the ÌÇÐÄvlogÊÓƵ City community, and beyond. These performance opportunities are diverse and include the interpretation of Scripture and hymns in university chapel services, hip-hop flash mobs in the cafeteria, lyrical pieces to pay tribute to cancer survivors and their families at Relay for Life, and spiritual works with the backing of a live choir and orchestra.
Members of the Spirit of Grace Liturgical Dance Company also have the opportunity to lend their talents choreographically as the majority of the company's repertoire is created by students.
Spirit of Grace dancers are also committed to other forms of community service. The students have spearheaded letter-writing campaigns for injured American soldiers, school supply packages for K-12 students, and dinner and Christmas gifts for families in need.
