Biography
Dr. Natalia Starostina is an Associate Professor of History at ÌÇÐÄvlogÊÓƵ who joined OCU in Fall 2019. Natalia has completed her Ph.D. in Emory University (Atlanta). She was awarded several prestigious teaching awards, including the 2022 Distinguished Achievement in the Innovation of Teaching and Learning from the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at OCU and Georgia Governor’s Teaching Fellowship. Natalia has published more than twenty-five articles in Historical Reflections/Réflexions Historiques, Diasporas, Migrance, Proceedings of the Western Society for French History, Review d’histoire des chemins de fer, Southeast Review of Asian Studies, Dialectical Anthropology, and other editions in English and French. Natalia has also become an editor of the leading European journal on disabilities research, Alter. Natalia is an avid traveler who has visited most countries in Western Europe as well as Japan and China.
